Job Title: Cost Manager / Commercial Manager Location: Portsmouth / Southampton area, with occasional travel to London
Working Pattern: 3 days per week based on site
Overview: We’re looking for a driven and capable Cost Manager or Commercial Manager to join a high-performing team working on major capital infrastructure projects. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who thrives in a client-facing role and is passionate about delivering commercial excellence across all stages of the project lifecycle.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
Degree qualified, preferably within a construction-related discipline
MRICS preferred but not essential (support available for achieving chartership)
Solid experience across both pre- and post-contract phases
Prior experience within a consultancy environment is strongly desirable
Excellent knowledge of NEC contracts
Utility experience is ideal, but strong experience on major capital infrastructure projects or programmes will also be considered
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
Confident working independently with minimal supervision
Commercially aware with the ability to understand and anticipate market trends
Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional client service
Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to inspire and lead others
