Role: Quality Engineer - Aerospace

Salary: £45K DOE
An ambitious, fast-scaling player in the aerospace, space, and defense sector is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its UK-based production team focused on structural airframe components. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to mission-critical programs that serve some of the most prestigious platforms in the industry.

The Role
As a Quality Engineer, you will report directly to the Quality Manager and play a key role in maintaining and improving product and process quality. You’ll interface with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to uphold the highest standards in compliance and performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
* Lead and support RCCA and NCR processes address non-conforming product issues with robust corrective actions.
* Communicate effectively with both suppliers and customers regarding quality-related concerns.
* Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and quality procedures.
* Review and manage customer and regulatory specifications.
* Manage and maintain the internal calibration system.
* Perform scheduled internal audits and support external audits.
* Contribute to KPI reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in a Quality Engineering role within the aerospace industry
* Certified AS9100 internal auditor.
* Strong working knowledge of AS9100 QMS requirements.
* Exceptional communication and analytical problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency with standard IT tools and documentation systems.
* Self-driven, proactive, and values-led individual.
