This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with previous experience working within an educational setting to contribute to the smooth financial operation of a busy and successful school. Please note: Only applicants with previous finance experience gained within a school, college, academy, or other educational setting will be considered for this position. The Role As Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the school's finance function, ensuring that financial processes are completed accurately and efficiently. Working closely with the School Business Manager and wider administrative team, your responsibilities will include: Processing purchase orders, invoices and payments Maintaining accurate financial records and databases Supporting budget monitoring and reporting Reconciling accounts and financial transactions Assisting with payroll administration where required Managing petty cash and school income Liaising with suppliers and external stakeholders Ensuring compliance with school financial procedures and policies Providing general administrative support to the finance department Requirements To be considered for this role, candidates must have: Previous finance experience within a school, academy, college, or other educational setting Strong administrative and organisational skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Experience using financial management systems The ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Pay Rates £100 per day - Applicants meeting the essential requirements £110 per day - Applicants holding a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance £120 per day - Applicants with at least 2 years' experience working in an administrative setting within a school Benefits Competitive daily rates of pay Opportunity to work within a supportive Secondary School environment Ongoing support from a dedicated Tradewind Recruitment consultant Potential for long-term opportunities This position is available for an immediate start, and early applications are encouraged.
