About the Role We’re looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant with Team Teach training to join a specialist primary PRU provision in Manchester, supporting pupils aged 5–11 who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion.
Start: ASAP in September 2025
Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:30am–3:30pm
Contract: Long-term, with potential to go permanent
Pay: £95–£115/day DOE for first 12 weeks (Paid PAYE – no umbrella companies!)
Equal Pay: Matched to permanent staff after 12 weeks

What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting primary aged pupils with SEMH, Autism, ADHD and trauma-related needs
* Using Team Teach strategies to de-escalate and manage behaviour positively
* Helping children regulate emotions and build resilience
* Supporting learning through play, visuals and structured routines
* Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families
* Encouraging essential life skills and positive social interaction
* Following safeguarding procedures and reporting concerns appropriately

What You’ll Need
* Team Teach certificate (in date)
* CV with 10-year work history
* Proof of Right to Work, ID & proof of address
* DBS on Update Service (or willing to apply)
* Professional references covering the last 2 years
* Overseas Police Check (if applicable)
* Experience working with SEN and challenging behaviour
* Positivity, resilience, empathy & a proactive attitude
