We are after a Maintenance Manager to support the Assets and Facilities Manager in coordinating and supervising the day-to-day proactive and reactive maintenance and repairs of our accommodation properties. Ideally you will have hands on experience and will work with a small team to inspect, repair, and maintain the assets across the portfolio. The Maintenance Manager will also support the project management and delivery of capital projects within the lifecycle costing plan.
You will be responsible for the coordination of all work health and safety matters and systems, including emergency management planning and contractor management of all contractors engaged by UniLodge. The role must show a commitment to maximise safety for all staff, volunteers, contractors, residents and visitors.
ABOUT THE ROLE
* Full Time position
* Roster: Monday to Friday (8.00am to 4.30pm) - some after-hours may be required from time to time.
* Supervise, manage, and lead a small maintenance team.
* Assist in WH&S requirements, and lead Health and Safety for the maintenance team.
* Maintain a safe and effective working environment for all staff, visitors, and contractors.
* Ensure contractor induction compliance.
* Assist with the day-to-day maintenance tasks when required (some hands-on tasks)
* Oversee and coordinate maintenance requests and ensure requests are completed within the established timelines and quality standards.
* Coordinate and oversee contractors engaged to carry out maintenance and capital works.
* Oversee preventative maintenance schedules to ensure they are completed within established timelines and quality standards.
* Support project delivery
* Assist with weekly and monthly reporting, staff rosters and payroll approval.
ABOUT YOU
* Previous experience in a similar role or a building trade qualification or may suit someone looking to progress from a hands-on trade role.
* Experience with contractor management and project management.
* A solid understanding of general building management processes
* Good administration and project management experience
* Ability to work within software systems
* Current First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
* National Police Check & Working with Children’s check (required)
