SEN Teaching Assistant – Alternative Provision
Location: Selby
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full Time / Part Time
Start Date: Immediate or September 2026
GSL Education are looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within an alternative provision in Selby.
About the School
This specialist provision supports pupils with a range of additional needs including SEMH, Autism and learning difficulties. The school provides a supportive environment focused on personalised learning and pupil wellbeing.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group SEN support
* Support engagement and classroom participation
* Assist with interventions and tailored learning activities
* Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
* Work closely with teaching and support staff
Requirements
* Experience supporting pupils with SEN preferred
* Patient and adaptable approach
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to build positive relationships
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
