The vacancy will exist as part of the Group Credit Control Department, based at Ellesmere Port, Cheshire
Key Accountabilities of the role will include:
Create and/or amend any new and existing customers and ensure Group/Local credit limits are in place for all customers. Obtain approvals on credit files, use credit reference agency software, review risk and limits at regular intervals as defined by the Group Credit Policy.
Customer Data set up and maintenance
Ensure customer profiles, payment terms, names & addresses with ERP system bill to sites are set up accurately. Ensure that the credit limits are maintained in line with approved credit files and approval levels. Understand SAP functionality around Legal and compliance holds. Update review cycle dates within current ERP system.
Legal and Compliance/Audit
Review legal contracts for payment terms in line with Group Trade Terms; work within defined credit parameters to identify any potential compliance risks.
Group Trade Terms
Ensure each customer is reviewed for Country risk and ensure this falls in line with min/max payment days and min/max payment methods approved. Request required approvals in line with the Group Credit Policy.
Cash Collection
Provide support on collections around the Group when required. Customers will be chased in line with the agreed collections process. Ensure all payment promises and disputes are recorded within ERP system and ensure monthly collection targets are achieved. Update Invoice due dates if valid within current ERP system.
Daily Tasks
Handle in-coming e-mails. Run and action Credit holds within the ERP system and any Ad Hoc tasks.
Monthly Tasks
Run SAP reports relating to the Credit department self-audit criteria, credit limit approvals, credit hold releases, customer master data & due date changes to ensure compliance. Highlight any issues for remediation to the Group Credit Manager. Run aged report and discuss any overdue accounts with GCM.
SAP knowledge: others as required.
Credit Team
Provide support and cover throughout the team as and when required
Full training will be provided.
Key requirements:
* General education including English & Maths GCSE grade C or above
* Commercial/Financial Credit risk assessment 1 year plus
* SAP knowledge (Essential)
Benefits to Include:
Hours: 37.5 per week (normally 8.30 – 4.30)
Core Hours: Work between 7am – 7pm (core between 10am and 3pm)
Hybrid Working: one day per week working from home (after probation)
Holidays: 25 per year plus bank holidays. These increase to 28 in line with service
Pension: on joining 5% / 5%, after probation period, this can move up to 10% / 15%(‘er)
