Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth, part of a large and well-established academy trust, to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant. This is a rewarding long-term role supporting students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) within a dedicated provision in the school.
The school is looking for a compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistant to start immediately, with the position running until the end of July 2026. There is also the potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate, should both the school and the successful applicant feel it’s the right fit.
The Role:
Full-time Teaching Assistant position
Supporting students with EHCPs within a specialist provision in a mainstream secondary setting
Providing tailored academic, social, and emotional support
Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
Helping students to access learning and develop independence

Based in Bournemouth
Part of a large academy trust with strong systems and support
Inclusive ethos with a focus on student wellbeing and progress
Supportive leadership and SEN teams
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience supporting children or young people with Autism and/or ADHD (highly desirable)
A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Experience in a school or similar setting is advantageous
