Overview
Active Together is seeking to recruit new Board Members. Individuals will bring public respect and credibility, personal and professional knowledge, expertise and lived experience to support Active Together achieve its strategic priorities to reduce physical inactivity levels and tackle inequalities.
Responsibilities
* Attend four Board meetings a year and commit approximately 4 to 6 days per calendar year.
* Support Active Together achieve its strategic priorities to reduce physical inactivity levels and tackle inequalities.
* Provide knowledge and understanding of strategic issues influencing the development of physical activity and sport in local government, voluntary sector sport, health, community, children and young people and private sector.
Qualifications
* Public respect and credibility, personal and professional knowledge, expertise and lived experience to support Active Together achieve its strategic priorities.
* Passion to address inequality, ability to connect and commitment to making physical activity and sport matter.
* Advantageous if you have a close association or affiliation with physical activity, sport or health in Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland.
