Main duties of the job
With experience from the NHS or private care, you will lead the nursing team to provide high‑quality care and support to young people aged 12‑18 years with a primary diagnosis of an eating disorder, while also supporting your colleagues and promoting good teamwork.
As a Ward Manager you will empower recovery, deliver supervision to staff across the ward and manage the on‑call service and ward budgets. You will lead by example, act as a role model to all members of the nursing team, and create a positive learning environment that makes a real difference.
Other duties include:
* Providing clinical leadership and expertise.
* Providing leadership and guidance to support a unified service and engaged workforce.
* Ensuring that high standards are in place, followed and improved in accordance with the Clinical Governance framework.
* Utilising and supervising all nursing staff effectively.
* Being an expert resource on nursing care of service users within the specialism and holding a key role in the multidisciplinary team.
* Maintaining a positive and collaborative environment to allow ward members to reach their potential and maximise their ability to provide high‑quality care, staff welfare and staff training.
* Designated to take charge of the ward.

Where you will be working:
Location: Cotswold Spa Hospital, Station Road, Broadway, WR12 7DE.
Working at Cotswold Spa, you will join the multidisciplinary team that provides CAMHS Tier 4 service for young people aged 12‑18 years with a primary diagnosis of an eating disorder. Combining the NICE guidelines recommended therapies, the service creates bespoke programmes that provide person‑centred care to support each person’s physical, medical and mental health needs. Young people will participate in psycho‑education and therapeutic programmes such as mindfulness, family and psychological therapies. Working alongside the individual and their families, the MDT will collaboratively create care plans and risk assessments. You will empower individuals to manage and improve their health throughout their treatment.
You will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
