The Role of the HGV Technician Working within a highly skilled and supportive workshop team, you will maintain and repair a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Servicing and pre-planned maintenance
* Reactive repairs and defect rectification
* Full vehicle diagnostics using manufacturer equipment
* Brake, clutch, gearbox, engine and electrical repairs
* MOT preparation and presentation
* Trailer and drawbar maintenance
* General workshop duties to a high professional standard
This is a hands-on role suited to a technician who enjoys variety and working on all makes and models.
What We’re Looking For in a HGV Technician
* Proven experience as an HGV Technician
* NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
* Good working knowledge of trailers
* Class 1 licence desirable but not essential
* Professional attitude and commitment to quality
