Role Overview:
An experienced Application Support Analyst is required to support and maintain middle and back-office applications within a fast-paced trading environment. The role involves managing incidents, deploying releases, and ensuring application stability, while working closely with internal teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage incidents, service requests, and major production issues.
* Deploy and monitor application releases in live environments.
* Identify and implement improvements in performance and automation.
* Maintain up-to-date support documentation and knowledge bases.
* Support end-of-day batch processing and business reporting.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and manage third-party relationships.
* Contribute to internal IT and application support projects.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* 5+ experience in application support, ideally within trading or financial services.
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
* Proficient in Windows Server, MS SQL, and web technologies.
* Familiarity with ETRM systems and the ITIL framework.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and effectively.
Desirable:
* Experience with PowerShell, Active Batch, Power BI, or TFS.
* Team leadership experience
* Understanding of trade lifecycle, P&L, settlements, and risk.
* Degree in a numerate or computing-related discipline.
