We are seeking a UK-based fundraising lead, not focused solely on grants, to help Pursue increase visibility and attract new supporters. Pursue is a small charity based in Western Kenya, serving rural schools to ensure every child receives a quality education.
What difference will you make?
Pursue Kenya relies heavily on funding from the UK. This role will help secure the longevity of our work and support growth by securing funds to expand and add new projects.
What are we looking for?
* At least 3 years of experience in fundraising or related activities
* Good knowledge of the charity sector
* Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
* Ability to collate and present information to secure donors and funding
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
What will you be doing?
The successful candidate will have fundraising experience, ample time, and the ability to work autonomously. Responsibilities include visiting churches, schools, and corporate organizations to share about Pursue's work and attract new donors. You will also organize regular fundraising events (e.g., cake sales, marathons, quiz nights, school events). As this role is part of the Grants Committee and unique in its scope, travel to venues and solo presentations will be required.
