While our company is new, we are built on extensive professional experience in the health and social care sector. We are now seeking a Registered Manager to lead the launch of our first 6-bed home—offering the unique opportunity to shape the service from the very beginning. This is a foundational leadership role for someone passionate about making a real difference in children's lives and driving excellence in care provision. What We Offer Competitive salary: up to £60,000, depending on experience £5,000 welcome bonus upon successful registration Full support with Ofsted registration and operational setup Funded Level 5 Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (if not already held) Career progression opportunities as our service expands Planned benefits as the company grows, including: Enhanced holiday entitlement Pension scheme Wellbeing and staff recognition initiatives Key Responsibilities Home Leadership and Setup Oversee the registration process with Ofsted, supported by the company's directors Establish operational policies and procedures aligned with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 Recruit and build a team of skilled and compassionate care professionals Set and maintain a culture of safety, stability, and trauma-informed practice Care Quality and Safeguarding Develop tailored care plans that address each child's needs across health, education, emotional wellbeing, and cultural identity Assign Key Workers to each child and oversee implementation of care plans Ensure robust safeguarding practices, effective risk management, and full compliance with statutory frameworks Promote meaningful consultation with children to ensure their voices shape their care Regulatory Compliance and Oversight Ensure readiness for Ofsted inspections, aiming for a minimum “Good” rating Maintain clear and accurate records in line with legislation and inspection standards Lead regular audits, team supervision, and ongoing service development Multi-Agency Working Build effective relationships with social workers, families, schools, and health professionals Attend and contribute to care planning meetings, reviews, and Looked After Children (LAC) reviews Operational Management Manage rotas, staffing levels, and daily operations efficiently Monitor budgets and resources to maintain a sustainable service without compromising care quality Person Specification Essential: At least 2 years' experience in residential childcare Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role within the last 5 years Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent Commitment to enrol on or already hold the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare Strong understanding of Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, SCCIF, and safeguarding Ability to lead, inspire and manage a team Full UK driving licence Desirable: Experience supporting or leading a new home's Ofsted registration Knowledge of trauma-informed care models Familiarity with setting up systems in a startup or new service environment Work Schedule Monday to Friday, Day Shifts Flexibility required for inspections, emergencies, and staff cover as needed If you would like to find out more about this position, please contact Alicia at or call 0151 556 2090 ADZN1_UKTJ
