Job Description
1. Control the food and beverage operations and ensure that the operations are conducted in the best manner according to the principles determined by Rixos Hotels Egypt management.
2. Monitor the food and beverage operations in line with the procedures determined by the hotel management, set targets, and communicate and ensure adoption of these targets. Communicate the Food and Beverage Manager’s decisions to subordinate employees and ensure implementation of these decisions in the best manner.
3. Manage all business and functions of the F&B Department.
4. Manage operations to ensure the highest quality delivery of food and beverage products and services.
5. Control and analyze sales and costs, display quality and service standards of F&B products, ensure proper use, protection, and maintenance of departmental utensils and equipment, conduct activities to increase customer satisfaction, and enhance service quality. Consolidate business relationships between employees in the department.
6. Manage pre-interviews, recruitment, performance upgrades, leadership, disciplinary actions, and business follow-up.
7. Responsible for preparing training programs for the F&B Department and training employees in the department.
8. Organize meetings to obtain data and achieve results.
9. Make plans with department managers to deliver successful organizations within the hotel.
10. Assist the Food and Beverage Manager in updating areas related to food and beverages according to hotel policies: finance, standards, employees and training, outlets, and recreation/entertainment. Conduct promotional activities to increase sales and meetings for banquet organizations. Ensure protection, maintenance, and replacement of materials and utensils.
11. Research opportunities for professional self-development.
12. Monitor and prepare reports on work schedules and performance assessments of subordinate supervisors and employees.
13. Implement and monitor employee-related decisions made during management meetings.
14. Make efforts to enhance the facility’s image through top-notch services inside and outside the facility.
15. Responsible for supervisors and employees at all levels in the department.
16. Maintain good relationships with service or product suppliers.
17. Find solutions to employee issues, create an atmosphere of teamwork, and inspire collaboration.
18. Participate in the Food Safety Team and attend MR meetings.
19. Predict environmental impacts of activities, join activities to protect biodiversity, and promote environmental knowledge and training. Minimize consumption of resources.
20. Implement energy-saving measures and predict effects of environmental and energy efficiency on equipment.
21. Implement responsibilities to eliminate waste, reduce pollution, and handle chemicals safely according to laws.
22. Carry out responsibilities related to quality and food safety management systems.
23. Perform other duties assigned by managers and hotel management.
Qualifications
* Education: 4-year bachelor's degree
* Experience: At least 10 years in the industry
* Foreign Language: Adequate English communication skills
* Courses and Training: Relevant theoretical and practical background, seminars, and courses
* Computer Literacy: MS Office applications
* Skills: Knowledge of legislation, laws, procedures, and ability to manage a significant unit at the facility level
