In this role, you’ll carry out both planned and reactive maintenance on injection moulding machines, robotics, and automation equipment. You’ll be responsible for fault-finding, minimising downtime, and ensuring safe, efficient production operations. This is a varied role where your mechanical and electrical expertise will be key to keeping the site running smoothly.
Upto £42,000pa DOE, plus overtime opportunities, pension, and a 4-day working week with no weekends.
What do you need?
Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in plastics, injection moulding, or a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, and automation
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Proactive problem-solving approach and strong health & safety awareness
Time-served apprenticeship and/or 18th Edition qualification (desirable)
PLC fault finding/programming experience (advantageous)
Full right to work in the UK
What will you be doing?
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on machinery and equipment
Responding to breakdowns quickly, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions
Supporting installations and commissioning of new plant/equipment
Maintaining spare parts stock and accurate maintenance records
Working with production and engineering teams to improve processes and efficiency
Sharing knowledge and supporting team development
The details:
Full-time, permanent role
Based in Rochester, Kent
Hours: 39 per week (4 x 10-hour shifts, Mon–Thurs)
