As a Teacher at Witherslack Group, you’ll be working with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You’ll help them learn, develop their abilities and raise their self-esteem. You will need to be resilient and dedicated, but the positive progress you achieve will be meaningful. You’ll receive support from in-house psychologists, teaching assistants and therapy professionals, and work in well-resourced school environments to help you build a rewarding teaching career.
Hilden Park school is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art school catering primarily for children with autism, Asperger’s and Speech, Language and Communication needs. The school provides education for up to 72 children aged 8 to 16. This role is based in Tonbridge and the wider community, with a focus on delivering outstanding educational experience and individual pupil progress.
Responsibilities
* Teach and support children and young people with ASD/SEN and SEMH needs
* Help pupils learn, develop abilities and raise self-esteem
* Collaborate with colleagues to create an engaging, well-resourced learning environment
* Contribute to individual pupil progress and care as part of the school team
Qualifications
* Previous teaching experience
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
