AHP Administrator

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Administrator to join the IMSK Service in Carlisle. This role will involve liaising with other administrators and health‑care professionals, creating an integrated care pathway to ensure a seamless transition to secondary care services and enable patient care to be delivered to the highest possible standard. As an administrator / call handler working under the general direction of the administrative team lead, you will undertake a range of duties and maintain administrative systems, procedures and records to enable the team to deliver an effective patient journey.


Main duties of the job

Carry out activities to support clinical triage of referrals to North Cumbria IMSK service, through care pathways across primary, secondary and acute settings. Daily telephone contact with patients; schedule appointments for patients and deal with general enquiries, administrative tasks (adding new patient referrals as well as onward referrals to local and other NHS Trusts) and other admin duties to support the IMSK service as a whole.

* Enhanced Check: £49.50 + administration cost of £6.50 = £56.00 Deducted from salary over a 4 month period or a one‑off payment.

Knowledge and Experience

* Knowledge of secretarial or administrative procedures and systems
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
* Experience of organising and facilitating meetings
* Experience of diary management
* Knowledge of NHS guidelines
* Previous administrative experience within NHS


Qualifications

* NVQ3 administration or relevant experience.
* Minimum GCSE qualification in English Language or equivalent.
* RSA II word processing or equivalent.
* ECDL
