We’re partnering with a growing business in York that’s looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger to join their finance team on a full-time temporary basis. Purchase Ledger - What you’ll be doing
* Accurately processing a high volume of supplier invoices
* Matching, batching, and coding invoices in line with internal procedures
* Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies promptly
* Preparing weekly and monthly payment runs
* Maintaining accurate purchase ledger records and ensuring data integrity
* Assisting with month-end processes and reporting tasks
* Liaising with internal teams and suppliers to resolve queries
* Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties as required
Purchase Ledger - What we’re looking for
* Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
* Confident using accounting software and Excel (intermediate level preferred)
* High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
* Able to manage your workload and meet tight deadlines
* Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-focused attitude
* Immediately available or available at short notice
Purchase Ledger - What’s on offer
* Hourly rate equivalent to £25,000–£28,000 depending on experience
* Full-time temporary contract
