Job Title: Mechanical Fitters – Military Vehicle Systems

We're assembling a team of skilled Mechanical Fitters to support high-priority defence programmes at a specialist facility in Coventry. These temporary roles (with strong potential for extension) offer the opportunity to contribute to mission-critical military vehicle integration—where precision, quality, and purpose are paramount.
We’re currently hiring 10 fitters to join the production team immediately.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be hands-on with the assembly and integration of mechanical and electrical systems on low-volume, high-specification defence vehicles.
Assemble and fit mechanical and electrical sub-systems to exacting standards
Interpret technical drawings and engineering instructions accurately
Safely and effectively use specialist tools, equipment, and materials
Inspect components and finished assemblies for quality and precision
Work closely with Production, Engineering, and R&D teams to meet deadlines
Contribute to lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement efforts
Maintain a safety-first mindset and take pride in your craftsmanship
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for candidates with practical experience, attention to detail, and a strong team mindset.
City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in Automotive, Mechanical, or Vehicle Systems
Proven experience in mechanical fitting or low-volume vehicle assembly
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work from schematics
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, quality-driven production environment
Strong team ethic and a proactive approach to deadlines and quality standards
