SEN Teaching Assistant / 1:1 ASD support
Are you a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant looking for new role of supporting students with ASD within mainstream?
An amazing Secondary school located in Tunbridge Wells are seeking a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant with a good understanding of Autism (ASD) to inspire the next generation. Do you possess a calm and adaptable personality to educate young learners? If you are someone dedicated to the education of all learners, you will play an essential role towards developing high quality education to help young students to reach their full potential.
Key responsibilities as 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant:
1. Have a calm and supportive personality as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
2. Have a good knowledge of Autism/ASD.
3. Work with ASD children 1:1 and in smaller groups to help deliver personalised education.
4. Have a calm and adaptable personality for positive behaviour management.
5. Support teaching and learning with secondary school pupils.
6. Manage and support classroom tasks.
7. Assist other teaching staff on external visits.
8. Have a good understanding of Mathematics and English.
9. Have a good knowledge for safeguarding.
10. Encouraging school policies and procedures.
Requirements of a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant:
11. Relevant experience working as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant or in an educational setting.
12. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
13. A passion for working with students and helping them succeed.
14. Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school environments.
15. Knowledge of classroom management techniques.
16. A commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
