Responsibilities
* Prepare and bake a variety of traybakes and other baked goods according to established recipes.
* Ensure all baked items meet quality standards for taste, appearance, and freshness.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
* Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop new recipes and improve existing offerings.
* Conduct regular equipment checks to ensure all baking tools are functioning properly and safely.
* Assist in training new kitchen staff on baking techniques and food safety practices.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or food production environment is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of baking techniques and culinary skills, including food preparation and safety standards.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high quality standards.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* A passion for baking and creating innovative baked goods that reflect current trends in the culinary world.
