Quantity Surveyor
Salary: £60,000£70,000 + Package (DOE)

Location: Basingstoke Area
We are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a major £130m construction project based in the Basingstoke region. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven QS looking to step into a key project role with long-term progression.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day commercial activities on a major live project
Subcontract procurement, packages, and negotiations
Cost planning, forecasting, and budget management
CVRs, valuations, variations, and payment applications
Work closely with the Commercial Lead and Project Leadership team
Ensure contractual compliance and support risk management
Build strong relationships with subcontractors and project stakeholders
Requirements:
Experience as a Project QS (or strong Assistant QS ready to step up)
Main contractor background preferred
Strong knowledge of JCT
Proven experience on large-scale construction projects
Ability to manage commercial responsibilities with autonomy
Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
