HR Business Partner
About you:
Are you passionate about people and have experience of driving the People strategy for an organisation. As our HR Business Partner (HRBP), you will play a key role in delivering our HR Strategy, supporting managers and employees across the business.
We are opening a brand-new site in Leeds and need a HR Business Partner that can support us with the opening and embedding of this new operation and its new team.
You will be responsible for driving HR excellence, employee engagement, and ensuring HR policies and practices align with company goals. Working closely with stakeholders, you will provide expert HR guidance, manage employee relations, and support business growth through strategic talent management.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with managers and leaders to support succession planning and ensure talent attraction & retention.
Provide expert advice on HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
Deliver HR metrics and reporting to inform business strategy and decision-making.
Contribute to shaping a high-performing and engaged workforce.
Ensure thorough and compliant management of employee relations (ER) issues.
Support performance management, guiding managers through people processes and complex ER cases.
Collaborate with leadership teams to ensure legal compliance and best HR practices.
Champion a healthy and inclusive workplace culture.
Support the development and implementation of people development plans, including probation reviews, PDPs, and annual performance reviews.
Identify and mitigate recruitment risks, working closely with the Talent Acquisition team.
Drive employee engagement initiatives to enhance retention and satisfaction.
Develop and contribute to the site-wide wellbeing and reward strategy, ensuring employees feel valued and motivated.
Your skills, experience & qualifications:
Ideally you will be CIPD Level 5 qualified
Previous experience as an HRBP within a large logistics or operational business is desirable
Strong ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
Expertise in employee relations, workforce planning, and strategic HR management.
Proven ability to partner with managers and leadership teams to drive organizational success.
Familiarity with HRIS, Payroll, ATS systems, and data-driven HR strategies.
Knowledge of employment legislation, including TUPE regulations.
Strong stakeholder management skills, analytical mindset, and ability to drive HR impact.
