Join the family! We are looking for a welcoming Early Years Practitioner to join the team at our beautiful setting nestled in Duckspond Road, Buckfastleigh!

Nanny Bears recruit team members based on values and attitudes, supporting our family to be made up of passionate, positive and like-minded individuals who understand the importance of creating a nurturing environment for our children. All practitioners are professional and understand the importance of attention to detail but our environments are relaxed and sociable, where staff encouraged to work as family and form strong bonds with each other through conversations and social events.

Job summary:

The role consists of 40 hours, Monday-Friday inclusive. The successful candidate will be given a comprehensive induction and supported to flourish in an environment which promotes each staff member to be the best version of themselves.

You will have the following experience, skills and attributes

9. Have a full and relevant level 2 qualification (minimum) in childcare
10. Be an inspiring practitioner with a sound knowledge of child development
11. Be proficient in leading the delivery of all aspects of teaching and learning
12. Have strong written and verbal communication skills
13. A good working knowledge of the EYFS framework and the ability to support staff in using the framework
14. Experience and knowledge of safeguarding practice
15. Ideally previous experience in a similar role
16. Be a good team player who enjoys working as part of a close-knit family
17. Have the ability to use initiative and to create inspiring and creative activities
18. Be positive, enthusiastic and enjoy working with children
