About the RoleThe Fostering Team Manager Role is crucial in ensuring the effective supervision and support of social workers as well as the recruitment and retention of foster carers. The role requires a dynamic and independent individual who can lead and manage the area team effectively.The Team Manager will supervise social workers, offering advice, guidance, support and development opportunities. Supporting the recruitment and retention of foster carers, working closely with the recruitment team and other stakeholders.Liaising with external and internal services to ensure the best outcomes for the children we care for. Collaboration with the internal teams is essential to maintain a cohesive and supportive environment for both social workers and foster carers. Excellent communication skills.The TM role requires a proactive problem solver who can address challenges and implement solutions to improve the fostering service. The TM will play a significant role in making a difference in the lives of the children in foster care by ensuring they receive the best possible support and care.Strong leadership skills are essential to develop and maintain a motivated and effective team.The role involves fostering a team environment that aligns with the values of Oxfordshire County Council.
