Product Manager / Product Owner (Back Office) – Contract – Remote – Outside IR35 - £500 per day
We’re hiring a Product Manager / Owner to support one of our highest-priority platform initiatives. This is a central commercial platform, not a front-end user experience role. You’ll be working in a data-heavy, API-led environment, shaping requirements that impact multiple internal teams and upstream/downstream systems.
This is a hands-on execution role, supporting a product team that is approaching a key release. You’ll help turn business needs into clear, actionable delivery items and ensure the engineering team has everything required to move efficiently.
What You’ll Do
* Translate commercial and operational needs into structured product requirements
* Map data flows, upstream/downstream impacts, and system interactions
* Work closely with architects and senior engineers to clarify trade-offs and constraints
* Support backlog refinement, sprint readiness, and prioritisation
* Facilitate discovery and alignment sessions with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams
* Document workflows and platform behaviours with clarity and consistency
* Challenge assumptions and highlight dependencies early to avoid delivery blockers
* Support testing and validation alongside Product and QA teams
This role sits between Product, Engineering, and Commercial, ensuring clarity, alignment, and momentum.
Must-Have Experience
* Product Business Analyst or Product Owner experience in platform / internal tooling environments
* Strong experience working in API / data integration projects
* Ability to work with architects and discuss data models, system interactions, and work decomposition
* Excellent backlog writing, user stories, acceptance criteria, and refinement skills
* Comfortable navigating multi-system complexity
* Confident communicator who can work with senior stakeholders, including director/C-suite
Nice-to-Have
* Affiliate / iGaming / gaming industry experience, or similar performance-driven commercial platforms
* (The domain experience helps when working with commercial models, partner structures, and bonus/offer logic.)
* Experience supporting the launch or scaling of internal commercial platforms
* Familiarity with Jira, Miro, Confluence, and other collaborative tools
The Environment
* Fast-paced, delivery-focused, highly cross-functional
* Expectation to act with initiative, clarity, and autonomy
* You’ll be stepping into a platform that is mid-launch, where precision and alignment are key
