About Our Client
Our client is a leading engineering and infrastructure organisation delivering complex, high-value projects across the UK energy sector. Renowned for innovation, sustainability, and technical excellence, they specialise in automation, controls, and instrumentation upgrades that modernise the nation's most critical infrastructure.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee major automation and controls upgrade projects across energy and utilities.
Role Overview
As a Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex controls, automation, and instrumentation projects from inception through to completion. You will manage project governance, planning, cost, quality, and risk to ensure successful outcomes aligned with NEC contracts and CDM regulations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven project professional with strong technical understanding of automation or energy infrastructure and proven experience delivering under NEC3 or NEC4 frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of automation, controls, and instrumentation projects.
* Manage project governance, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting in line with NEC3/NEC4.
* Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
* Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, company standards, and industry best practice.
* Oversee risk, change, and quality management throughout the project lifecycle.
* Engage with stakeholders, clients, and suppliers to ensure project alignment and successful delivery.
* Drive continuous improvement, ensuring safety, efficiency, and value for money.
Key Skills & Qualifications
* Prince2 Practitioner or APM (AMP) qualification - essential.
* Proven experience managing projects under NEC3 or NEC4 contracts.
* Strong technical background in controls, automation, or instrumentation.
* Demonstrable experience delivering energy, utilities, rail, or major infrastructure projects.
* Solid understanding of CDM and delivering projects within regulated environments.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.

Package
* Salary: Up to £68,500
* Bonus: 10-20%
