Work with appropriate supervision and support to develop an understanding of the customer and user needs of the system and how they will influence and impact design activities.
Support the development of design solutions to complex technical problems throughout the product lifecycle against agreed time, cost, and quality standards.
Support the development and management of Combat Systems requirements.
Ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive, captured within the requirements management tools, and endorsed by the appropriate level of authority.
Understand the contractual and performance requirements for Combat Systems and support the definition of acceptance criteria and events through design, build, integration, installation, and commissioning activities.
Provide technical support to integrated performance and acceptance activities, including acceptance of equipment from suppliers to system acceptance by the customer.
Collaborate with various engineering teams to improve domain knowledge and subject matter expertise.
Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and practices in the defence, maritime, aerospace, or automotive industries.
Understanding of the engineering lifecycle with relevant experience and awareness of the entire lifecycle.
Knowledge of relevant engineering standards, including safety and environmental regulations.
Awareness of Product Safety and SHE considerations.
STEM degree or background.
