Hourly Paid Lecturer in Interior Design and Architecture
The School of Creative Industries is looking for an enthusiastic, industry-experienced and highly motivated Lecturer to join our Interior Design & Architecture teaching team based at our Luton Campus. The successful candidate will be employed on an hourly paid basis, working 6.25 hours per week across Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Working closely with our students, stakeholders and local/national employers, you will strive for continuous improvement and higher standards for the benefit of the whole community. We aim to do the ordinary things extraordinarily well.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with contemporary design skills able to lecture across our large, flagship course. You will deliver both industry skills and knowledge to our eager students.
Knowledge of contemporary design skills/software is essential, as you would be leading CAD across the course.

The successful candidate will be positive, enthusiastic, resilient and eager to seek development opportunities for our course. You will be able to demonstrate an adaptive and flexible teaching style to support and stretch a diverse range of students. Teaching experience and relevant qualifications are desirable, though we are keen to hear from anyone with the right skills and who is willing to engage in self-development.
It is essential that our courses reflect industry practices, and you will be key in driving course development to ensure it remains relevant and meets contemporary industry needs. You should also provide prompt, accurate and detailed assessment of student work at key stages during the academic year.
