Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a pro-active approach to the key responsibilities below.
Applicants will need to demonstrate an understanding of the Section 38/278 and 104 Process along with a good level of engineering knowledge, including a working knowledge of NHBC Standards and service infrastructure requirements.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage the adoption process and chair the required meetings with the relevant authorities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide technical support to the Head of Engineering and other departments; commission and manage surveys, reports, pre-construction information, and risk management processes.
2. Review and check design solutions for roads, sewers, drainage, and levels to ensure cost-effective, practical outcomes compliant with planning, building regulations, and NHBC/LABC standards; identify value engineering opportunities.
3. Coordinate and administer utility disconnections, diversions, new mains and service connections, final surfacing, and related quotations; manage S38/278 and S104 agreements, adoptions, bonds, and POS transfers.
4. Liaise with authorities, consultants, and subcontractors to arrange inspections, progress adoptions, and ensure all works meet drawings, specifications, safety practices, and legislation.
5. Manage site fees and budgets; assist with service quotations; monitor and maintain the design programme to ensure timely delivery.
6. Oversee the transfer of landscaped areas, play spaces, and communal assets to management companies, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.

7. Further education in construction or engineering; proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
8. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and adapt to changing priorities.
9. Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive with strong problem-solving abilities; capable of working independently and collaboratively.
10. Approachable, hands-on attitude with a commitment to the company’s core values of Trust, Teamwork, Kindness, and Passion.
11. Full UK driving licence.
