Buyer (Manufacturing) Permanent Livingstone Aerospace & power generation industries Training and development opportunities Key Responsibilities Procurement & Sourcing: Source and purchase goods and services to meet operational and business needs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality. Act as a commodity lead for assigned group contracts. Managing a purchasing spend, excluding intercompany, of £20M. Identify Pipeline savings of 2% per quarter, or in line with plant objectives Stakeholder Management: Act as a commercial subject matter expert for the local management team and attend reviews to provide advice and support to facilitate tactical and strategic decisions. Liaise with accounts payable team to identify and resolve any issues surrounding invoice/payment queries. Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, track performance, and resolve any delivery or service issues to support production efficiency. Actively seek new sources of supply to meet existing and future material and capital purchases.
