We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll and Benefits Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and accurate administration of payroll and employee benefits, while also spearheading wellness initiatives to support a healthy and engaged workforce. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Administration: Accurately process bi-weekly payroll, manage employee record changes, and maintain precise payroll records. Benefits Management: Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, claims, and inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Wellness Initiatives: Develop, implement, and manage annual wellness programs to enhance employee well-being. Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal laws and standard payroll practices. System Management: Serve as the main point-of-contact for the payroll system, resolving issues and recommending solutions. Reporting: Produce financial reports for internal and external entities, and support year-end audits. Training: Provide training to hiring managers on relevant systems and best practices. Employee Support: Offer ongoing communication and support to employees regarding benefits packages and wellness programs. Requirements Essential Functions: Maintain physical and electronic files, perform quality checks for HR-related data, and ensure compliance with payroll practices. Communicate with Paylocity Account Manager for system assistance and resolve payroll system problems. Track and maintain paid time off records, ensuring accurate reporting and timely approval of timecards. Review year-end payroll information such as W-2 tax forms and troubleshoot payroll anomalies. Collaborate with Fiscal and HR teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Reconcile benefit carrier invoices with employee withholding amounts monthly. Administer leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork, interpreting FMLA and ADA regulations. Assist with new-hire orientations and provide clear benefits education. Support the annual open enrollment process, including planning and execution. Design and manage wellness initiatives, monitoring their effectiveness through employee feedback. Research and compare incentive compensation plans, making recommendations for improvements. Qualifications: · Associate’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience/training); bachelor’s degree or current PHR/SHPR certification preferred. · Minimum of five (5) years of experience in human resources with a focus on payroll and benefits administration. · Experience in program development and engagement initiatives. · Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail. · Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, payroll and benefits software and HRIS systems; experience with Paylocity and Employee Navigator a plus. · Creative thinker and proactive problem solver. · A positive, “can do” attitude.
