ROLE: AI Integration & Python developer/engineer
LENGTH: 12 Months FTC
LOCATION: on site to start then 4 days a week.
PAY: FTC
The Role
We're working with a highly regarded investment management firm looking to hire an AI Integration & Python developer/engineer to support a growing internal initiative.
This is a unique opportunity to join at an early stage of AI adoption, where you'll play a key role in shaping how tools and processes evolve across the business.
Key Requirements
* Supporting and maintaining existing Python-based processes and reporting frameworks
* Helping integrate and scale AI tools (including newly adopted Claude AI licenses) across teams
* Implementing controls and governance around AI usage
* Driving efficiency gains through practical AI adoption
* Providing hands-on support to teams while gradually moving toward a more AI-focused remit
Key Skills Required
* Python (core focus)
* Postgres + Docker (approx. 90% of the role)
* REST APIs & local databases
* Virtual machines
* Broader stack includes data processing, automation, and reporting tools
What they're looking for:
* Strong Python and infrastructure experience
* Solid understanding of APIs, databases, and containerisation
* Experience in a fund or regulated financial services environment (essential)
* Excellent communication skills (this role is highly collaborative)
* Interest in AI tools and their practical application in business workflows
