BT18 Holywood Salary: £22,803 - £23,936 per annum (NJC Scale Points 1114, £14.53 - £15.25/hr, DOE) Permanent, term-time position Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 7:45am - 2:45pm Please Note: Applicants must be authorized to work in the UK.

The Silver Robin Restaurant plays a vital role, serving over 550 nutritious meals daily to students and staff.
The Role
As Unit Catering Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of The Silver Robin, ensuring high standards in meal preparation and service. This hands-on supervisory role is ideal for a catering professional with strong leadership, planning, and culinary skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead a team of up to 15 catering staff to deliver high-quality service.
2. Oversee food preparation, portion control, and menu planning.
3. Maintain compliance with food safety and health & safety legislation.
4. Promote the service within the school community to increase meal uptake.
5. Manage budgets for food, labour, and equipment effectively.
6. Deputise for the Catering Manager when required.
7. Organise staff rotas, training, and development.
8. Complete clerical and administrative tasks as needed.

The Ideal Candidate
We seek someone passionate about food, people-focused, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should be an enthusiastic leader with attention to quality and detail. Requirements include:
* Minimum 1 year experience in a senior catering role in a large establishment.
* Strong knowledge of hygiene, health & safety, nutrition, and dietary needs.
* Excellent cooking skills and experience with balanced menus.
* Proven leadership and team management skills.
* Organizational, budgetary, and menu planning skills.
* A flexible, proactive attitude and ability to work under pressure.
Desirable but not essential:
* 2+ years senior catering experience.
* NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in Catering.
* Food Hygiene or Trainer Skills Certificate.
* Marketing experience for event promotion.
* Knowledge of Nutritional Standards for NI schools.
