A great opportunity to join a large, well-established services provider as an Assistant Management Accountant, based in Coleshill with a hybrid working pattern of only 2 days a week in the office. Main Duties:
As an Assistant Management Accountant, your main duties include:
* Contribute to the production of monthly management accounts, ensuring outputs are accurate and delivered on time
* Play a key role in the month-end close, posting journals including accruals and prepayments
* Complete balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies
* Review actuals against budget, providing clear variance commentary to support decision-making
* Partner with operational teams to better understand cost drivers and improve the quality of financial reporting
* Support the wider budgeting and forecasting cycles
* Produce financial reports and insights for internal stakeholders across the business
* Assist with audit processes and help maintain a strong financial controls environment
Location / Office / Culture
The role is hybrid, with only 2 days a week spent in the office. The business operates from a modern site in Coleshill. You’ll be joining a fast-paced, supportive finance team within a large logistics-led services organisation, where collaboration with operational colleagues is a real strength of the role.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
* 6 months to 3 years of experience within a similar finance role
* A solid grasp of core accounting principles, including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
* Currently studying, or keen to study, towards ACCA, CIMA, or AAT
* Confident Excel skills paired with a strong eye for detail
* Well-organised, able to manage time effectively, and comfortable working both independently and within a team
* Strong communicator with a proactive, can-do approach
