We are seeking an experienced M&E Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of mechanical and electrical projects within a mission-critical environment where uptime, compliance, and operational resilience are paramount.

The Role
You will take ownership of multiple M&E projects from concept through to completion, ensuring delivery to scope, programme, budget, and compliance standards.
You will act as the key interface between the client, subcontractors, engineering teams, and operational stakeholders while maintaining minimal disruption to critical operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end delivery of M&E projects across a live critical facility
* Lead project planning, programming, procurement, and execution activities
* Ensure all works are delivered safely and in line with statutory compliance and company procedures
* Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and specialist subcontractors
* Manage project budgets, cost reporting, and commercial performance
* Produce and maintain project documentation including RAMS, permits, programmes, and commissioning plans
* Oversee commissioning, testing, and handover processes
* Build strong client relationships through clear communication and high service standards
* Ensure projects meet quality expectations and operational requirements
* Support continuous improvement and operational resilience initiatives across the site
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience delivering M&E projects within critical environments such as data centres, healthcare, utilities, manufacturing, or mission-critical facilities
* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services systems
* Background within facilities management, building services, or critical infrastructure environments
* Demonstrable experience managing subcontractors and multiple stakeholders
* Strong understanding of CDM regulations, health & safety, and permit-to-work systems
* Excellent commercial awareness and project reporting capability
* Ability to work under pressure within operationally sensitive environments
* Strong communication and leadership skills
Qualifications
* HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (preferred)
* Recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2 or APM desirable
* SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely
* CSCS Card
