Role Purpose
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of high performing individuals on a major project for Control Risks. The individual will be part of a team responsible for high visibility intelligence-led patrolling, crime prevention & detection tasks, associated planning and preparation for proactive tasks and when required responding to incidents on client’s sites.
A key priority is to provide physical protection to our client’s personnel, assets and sites providing assurance that incidents affecting the client are prevented or managed and resolved safely, lawfully, efficiently in accordance with all client and company policies/procedures and aligned with all business deliverables.
The role can be based at any of our current hubs in Birmingham, Stoke on Trent or Milton Keynes.
Please note that this is a full time position requiring 12-hour shifts 4 on / 4 off rotation, 24/7/365
Tasks and Responsibilities
The Tasking Team Member core responsibilities will include:
* Provide specialist intelligence-led asset and property protection to client/stakeholder premises, buildings and sites.
* Provide asset and property protection to client and stakeholder premises which may involve active trespasser mitigation response.
* Provide full and complete information reports into the project as required through tasking to fill intelligence gaps or dynamically via patrol work/taskings.
* Ensure all incident management conforms with company SOPs, including their development where required.
* Always ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all Control Risks staff, client’s staff, subcontractors, and members of the public.
* Maintenance of all equipment and vehicles ensuring serviceability and safe working conditions at all times.
* Mentor other contract personnel and stakeholders with regards to incident response where required.
* Support the creation of training material enabling the provision of training to the team, client et al.
* Actively promote and embed compliance with project and company policy, procedures, SOPs and initiatives.
* Support project management and client in conducting site reviews and audits as required.
* Conduct penetration testing as required.
* Support Project SLT and Shift Managers in achieving success for the client.
* Any other task that is required or directed for the role.
Requirements
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
* Significant experience in a frontline security or incident response role
* Excellent stakeholder/client service skills
* Decisive and have a problem-solving focus.
* Resilient and an ability to think and act quickly under pressure
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Innovative in approach, embraces change positively and instigates it when needed
* Ability to deal calmly and confidently with all stakeholders and the public
* High standards of reliability, punctuality, and personal presentation
* Understanding of equality and diversity principles
* IT Proficiency
Preferred
* Event management experience.
* Asset/property protection.
* Have an awareness of the response in illegal occupancy/trespass situations.
Qualifications and Specialist Skills
Essential
* Minimum - SIA level 2 with physical intervention
* Willingness to work towards SIA level 3
* Full UK Driving Licence.
Preferred
* L2/L3 Award in Physical Restraint.
* L2/L3 Award in the Safe and Effective use of Restraint Equipment.
* L2/L3 Award in Conflict Management.
* L3 Award in First Aid.
* IOSH/NEBOSH/COSHH.
* Advanced Driver (IAM/ROSPA or equivalent)
