About the Role Join our dynamic team at Carlsberg Britvic, a newly formed integrated beverage powerhouse in the UK market. As an Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring maximum availability and reliability of production equipment across our manufacturing facilities. Role Responsibilities • Ensure maximum equipment reliability by promptly responding to breakdowns, conducting effective repairs, and implementing preventative maintenance strategies aligned with the Britvic Work System (BWS) • Maintain strict adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality procedures, including LOTO (Lock Out, Tag Out), Permit to Work systems, and all relevant statutory requirements • Take ownership of site reliability performance metrics and KPIs, actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles (TPM, RCM, RCA, PDCA, 5S) • Lead and participate in zero loss teams to optimize utilities usage and drive improvements to equipment reliability • Collaborate with Operations teams to develop world-class engineering solutions that promote a culture of strong performance and professional manufacturing • Maintain accurate records in the SAP PM system, ensuring proper documentation of maintenance activities and spare parts usage • Support capital engineering projects in partnership with the Central Engineering Department to ensure successful completion within cost, quality, and time targets Experience and Key Attributes • Minimum BTEC/NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline • Strong multi-skilled background with an electrical bias, capable of understanding root causes of machine breakdowns and developing effective solutions • Demonstrated experience in maintenance delivery within a manufacturing environment, preferably in Food/Beverage/FMCG industries • Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies and Lean principles, with TPM practitioner experience desirable • Excellent analytical and practical skills, combined with strong IT literacy (MS Office suite) and data analysis capabilities • Proven ability to manage contractors, review risk assessments, and issue permits while maintaining strict safety standards • Strong communication skills with the ability to train and develop others in a collaborative team environment Our commitment to diversity equity & inclusion We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences - including those of different races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, ages, abilities, religions, and socioeconomic statuses.
