Manpower are currently seeking an interim Shopper Marketing Manager, to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.
The position is based in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. This is a full-time temporary role to run for 12 months, requiring 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £65,000 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.
The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements.
The core purpose of this role is to lead the execution strategy, planning and evaluation of impactful shopper marketing campaigns with our retailers, spanning across all our business units. You will be accountable for the delivery of a clear retailer facing shopper activation plan which links to the BU strategy and key jobs to be done with a seamless connection to the full media plan. You will work closely with both your BU shopper leads and the customer account teams to leverage these plans with our retailers to drive impact and ultimately competitive growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. As a Shopper Marketing (Retailer Execution) Manager, you will be externally facing and sit at the heart of the business, delivering an insight led retailer execution plan which builds Unilever brands in the retailer environment and influences shoppers at the point of purchase.
2. This role will require you to build strong relationships with our retailers, agency partners, account teams and our BU shopper and brand partners. We work in an agile manner, meaning you will need to be adaptable and prioritise your efforts to meet key project deliverables across the Retailer execution team.
3. You can demonstrate team leadership skills as you will manage a team of Retail Execution executives as well as being part of the Retail Execution leadership team, together ensuring key priorities are defined and resources appropriately.
4. Development of retailer's shopper marketing programme across BU's, aligned to the BU Strategy and Shopper JTBD across relevant channels and touchpoints which maximise the visibility for Unilever.
5. Leadership of the end-to-end management of impactful shopper campaigns within the retailer from planning, execution and evaluation anchoring back to key brand and customer JTBD/priorities
6. Utilising store visits and retailer data and insight, create a bank of best practices for the retailer/brand on the most effective touchpoints based upon the campaign objectives
7. Leadership and management of the retailer's retail execution execs and retailer's media group implant
8. Lead the external communication with the retailer, representing the shopper and campaign plans in key external forums, including T2T's
9. Leadership and negotiation of the agency retail media JMP (BMG) to ensure we have aligned WOW principles and are holding our partners accountable to agreed standards
10. Define BU/Brand prioritisation of shopper campaigns across the retail execution team and ensure we line-up resource to deliver
11. Management of the BMI/TMI shopper budgets for the retailer, ensuring campaigns and total plan are forecasted and executed to agreed budget campaigns
12. Ensure that artwork meets unmissable POS standards and in line with retailer guidelines, aligning with BU shopper leads
13. Driving industry leading retail media capabilities with retailer agency BMG that result in award winning activations
Key Requirements
14. You need a strong understanding of the UK retail landscape and know what it takes to ensure Unilever brands are visible and impactful at the key touchpoints on the shopper journey to purchase.
15. You will need to be an excellent communicator, have strong project management skills and draw on experience in commercial and category/marketing roles.

Additional Information
Occasional UK based travel required to the retailer's head office and for meetings in the London office.
