Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial and contractual aspects of construction projects. This role is primarily office-based with occasional site visits to monitor progress, verify measurements and support project delivery.
Responsibilities
* Support construction projects by providing precise measurements and layout information.
* Prepare cost estimates, bill of quantities (BOQ) and tender documents for construction projects
* Conduct feasibility studies and cost planning during the design and pre-construction stages.
* Manage and monitor construction budgets, cash flow, and cost control systems.
* Evaluate and negotiate contractor and subcontractor quotations, variations, and claims.
* Prepare and issue interim valuations, payment certificates, and final accounts.
* Ensure compliance with contract conditions, building regulations, and legal standards.
* Participate in procurement activities, including tender analysis and contract award.
* Conduct site measurements and verify completed work for payment certification
* Provide cost advice and financial reports to project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
* Assist with value engineering to achieve the best value for money without compromising quality.
* Identify and manage commercial risks on construction projects.
Skills
* Excellent data management skills to organise large datasets accurately.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, and survey data effectively.
* Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure precision in all tasks.
* Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
* Proficient in MS Excel or other cost management software.
* Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Pay: £52,000.00-£58,000.00 per year
