An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our street lighting team. You will work with a variety of partners, customers, and clients on the delivery of a professional service that maximises resources and delivers positive outcomes.
You will be responsible for the maintenance of the Council’s Street lighting assets, including our electric vehicle charging infrastructure. This comprises being involved with our inspection and assessment regime, Technical Approval of proposed street lighting installations on public roads, designing new lighting installations and prioritising and delivering a program of capital and revenue work to ensure safe, well maintained street lighting assets.
With an HNC in Electrical Engineering or relevant subject, you will have substantial knowledge and experience in the street lighting field with good AutoCAD skills and design experience utilising Lighting Reality. You will have experience in asset management and planning, tracking, and communicating progress on projects.
You will be business and customer focused with a demonstrable record of identifying opportunities and achieving outcomes. You will be self-motivated with a flexible and collaborative approach to work and have the ability to cope with multiple and changing demands whilst meeting tight deadlines. You will also have a good understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice and initiatives.
With excellent organisational and IT skills, you will be able to utilise various Microsoft Office packages and be a clear written and verbal communicator with the ability to analyse information, and clearly communicate with customers, contractors and other stakeholders. You will be required to travel throughout North Lanarkshire to undertake the duties of this post.
You will be joining a dynamic and flexible team within Enterprise and Communities, who currently operate a hybrid model of home-working and office-based work at locations within North Lanarkshire. You will be required to hold a current UK driving licence to apply for this position.
