Summary
As a site manager you will be responsible for looking after the teams on a construction site, as well as liaising with the client. You could be monitoring costs and budget, and ordering materials for the project.

£15,311.40 to £24,761.88, depending on your age
National Minimum Wage
Help with the cost of Travel to and from work and College will be supported financially which can be claimed back weekly via our expenses process if required.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
* Help to ensure that projects are planned and completed in a timely, safely manner
* Maintaining daily diary to record site events and requirements
* Learn standards for inspections of all operations to ensure they are carried out in a safe manner
* Comply with the site-specific environmental action plan requirements
* Gain a thorough understanding of site boundaries, access points and site office procedures
* Build relationships with other business unit teams like sales and commercial
* Shadow the site management team on CSCS inspection visits
* Manage and coordinate the safe and tidy storage of material delivered to the site
* Shadow and report to the business unit production director on specific development targets and objectives

Course contents
* Identify risk of activities and encourage all employees to demonstrate safety-conscious behaviours.
* Assess, identify and record the environmental impact of projects.
* Assist in the implementation of the most appropriate solutions for construction projects.
* Use effective management principles and be able to supervise construction workers.
* Understand overall plan for project and measure and record progress against plan.
* Assess and report on quality standards and assist in commissioning of finished construction projects.
* Understand financial and legal constraints and measure and record progress against budget.
Your training plan
* This apprenticeship is a new apprenticeship standard qualification titled "Construction Site Supervisor" at Level 4 which is equivalent to an HNC.

Essential qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
* Maths, English and three other subjects (grade All at C or 4 and above.)
