Act as part of a team responsible for supporting, evaluating, and treating adults with developmental disabilities living in a residential setting. Perform all case management and operational duties assigned by the Residential Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide operational duties assigned by the Residential Manager, such as ordering medication, assisting individuals with banking, monitoring program money and petty cash, grocery shopping, and assisting with training new staff.
2. Perform case management duties as needed, including attending meetings, writing progress notes, developing support plans, collecting data, and completing paperwork.
3. Attend weekly staff meetings, document minutes, meet deadlines, and contribute to program development and evaluation.
4. Maintain a valid Driver’s License and provide transportation as required.
5. Oversee shift documentation to ensure accuracy and professionalism.
6. Supervise and instruct individuals in community living, record data, and implement behavioral interventions, including physical restraint if necessary.
7. Assist individuals with medical appointments, social activities, and personal care responsibilities.
8. Maintain the residence and yard in a clean, orderly condition.
9. Adhere to communication standards, dress professionally, and maintain a positive attitude.
10. Write reports and documentation, attend meetings, and participate in training.
11. Follow safety standards and perform additional duties as required.
12. Comply with all RTR policies and develop services aligned with RTR’s philosophies.
Minimum Requirements
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and internet use.
* Education in psychology, social work, special education, or related fields preferred, with at least one year of residential experience.
* Valid Driver’s License.
* Completion of mandated trainings, including medication administration.
* Willingness to undergo background checks and provide necessary documentation.
* Ability to perform essential duties with reasonable accommodations.
Skills and Physical Demands
Must be fluent in English, able to read and interpret various documents, communicate effectively, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds and other physical activities as needed.
