Job Overview
Beech Ward at Scarborough Hospital is looking for a compassionate, motivated Band 4 Nursing Associate to join our multidisciplinary team. You will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care to cardio‑respiratory patients. You will work closely with Registered Nurses and the wider clinical team to ensure safe, effective, and dignified care.
Main Duties
* Provide high‑quality, evidence‑based care to patients requiring enhanced levels of support.
* Carry out a range of clinical duties within your scope of practice, including observations, basic assessments, and supporting care plans.
* Contribute to a safe and therapeutic environment for patients with complex physical or cognitive needs.
* Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, HCSWs, AHPs, and medical staff.
* Support patients and families with clear communication, empathy, and professionalism.
* Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to multidisciplinary discussions.

Qualifications
* Foundation Degree achieved through a recognised Nursing Associate training programme.
* Advanced IT skills, e.g. spreadsheets, PowerPoint or an ECDL qualification (willing to undertake further training).
Experience and Knowledge
* Understand the scope of the Nursing Associate role within the team and organisation, and how it contributes to service development.
* Knowledge of when to seek advice and refer to a senior registered care professional.
* Understanding of applying evidence‑based practice to ensure high quality care.
