The Role Morson are seeking an experienced Tooling Engineer to provide technical expertise across manufacturing programmes, supporting the delivery of robust, capable, and zero-defect tooling solutions. This role plays a key part in enabling high-quality production through strong engineering leadership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical leadership for tooling development from concept through to production
* Ensure robust, capable manufacturing processes with a strong focus on zero defect delivery
* Support production and resolve tooling, quality, and supplier issues efficiently
* Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across tooling and manufacturing processes
* Provide technical oversight for tooling cost, schedule, and configuration changes
* Promote best practice, standardisation, and development of new tooling methods
* Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to meet programme demands
* Champion safety, quality, and compliance standards at all times
Skills & Experience
* Degree (or equivalent) in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or related discipline
* Minimum 5 years' experience in Manufacturing / Tooling Engineering within aerospace or similar regulated industry
* Strong knowledge of quality systems such as AS9100 / ISO9001
* Proven ability to lead technically, influence stakeholders, and work with minimal supervision
Travel
* Occasional domestic and international travel (<20%)
