We now have an exciting position for a Merchandiser to join our Children's Merchandising team. We are looking for individuals passionate about Childrenswear and delivering great product to the customer.
What will you do as a Merchandiser?
1. Creating seasonal sales and buying plans that will maximise commercial opportunity
2. Ensuring a balanced range is bought
3. Advising buyers on quantities of products
4. Constantly reviewing sales and stock against plan to identify areas of risk and opportunity
5. Re-forecasts sales for relevant product areas in order to monitor OTB and terminal stock levels
6. Suggests appropriate sales strategy, in line with trading conditions and business objectives
7. Reviewing systems capability to highlight areas that can be enhanced and implements upgrades in line with department needs
8. Plan induction for new employees
9. Support Head of Merchandising to ensure company/department information is communicated effectively to team through weekly catch ups, team meetings etc.
10. Coach and Develop team members
11. Identify team training needs
12. Ensure a safe working environment by complying with Health and Safety Guidelines and take action to deal with any issues
What you will need to succeed as a Merchandiser?
13. Experience of fashion merchandising with a proven track record in multi-product areas.
14. Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify key products trends and emerging opportunities in line with customer profile to drive the business forward.
15. Experience of managing a team, overseeing product direction, and managing sign offs
16. Working cross functionally
