I’m working with a major UK‑headquartered multinational to recruit a Head of Commercial Finance (Planning & Performance) — a senior, high‑impact role leading group‑level planning, analytics and commercial insight within a complex, fast‑moving organisation.
This position offers direct exposure to Directors and Execs, ownership of the group planning agenda, and the opportunity to lead a high‑performing team shaping financial decision‑making at scale.
The Opportunity Lead Group Planning & Performance
* Own the full planning cycle across the group, including budgets, forecasts and long‑range planning
* Provide forward‑looking analysis on performance, risks, opportunities and commercial drivers
* Build and deliver the planning & analytics roadmap, elevating financial insight across the organisation
* Develop better tools, processes and reporting to support operational and strategic decisions
Be a Senior Strategic Partner to the Business
* Partner directly with Directors and senior operational leaders across the group
* Influence decisions through high‑quality commercial insight, challenge and strategic thinking
* Present financial narratives, scenarios and recommendations to executives and senior stakeholders
* Play a key role in shaping long‑term performance and direction
* Lead a team of four ambitious finance professionals
* Set the standard for best‑in‑class business partnering, planning and analysis
* Drive capability uplift, coaching, and a culture of continuous improvement
* Strengthen the function’s overall commercial and strategic impact
About You
You will bring:
* 5+ years post‑qualification experience (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
* Strong knowledge of business strategy, commercial drivers and operational performance
* Significant experience in planning, forecasting and financial performance analysis
* A track record of influencing senior stakeholders with confidence and clarity
* Outstanding commercial acumen and analytical thinking
* Experience leading and developing high‑performing teams
* A proactive, resilient approach with comfort operating in a dynamic, change‑oriented environment
