Job description
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Social Worker to join the Information, Advice & Assistance (IAA) Team that sits within the MASH (Multi‑agency Safeguarding Hub). The MASH work is close collaboration with partner agencies such as South Wales Police and Health to support families in line with the Social Services & Well‑Being (Wales) Act 2014, and safeguarding our most vulnerable children.
We encourage applications from both experienced Social Workers and newly qualified. In return you will receive a robust induction, regular supervision, additional support and mentoring where required. Our Social Work practice model of Signs of Safety is fully implemented within our IAA Service, so you will receive training and support in this model.

Responsibilities
* Protect children, young people or adults at risk.
* Work collaboratively with partner agencies such as South Wales Police and Health.
* Support families in line with the Social Services & Well‑Being (Wales) Act 2014.
* Administer the IAA Service using the Signs of Safety practice model.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Enhanced with Children Barred list criminal record check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS).
* Vetting check by South Wales Police.
* Valid driving licence.
* Ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh.
Work pattern
The council’s Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post. This provides a framework for establishing how you will undertake working hours between your home and the office.
