A client within the Public Sector based in Warwickshire is currently recruiting for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a commercial property environment. The Role Key purpose of the role is to provide a full range of building surveying functions, including programming and carrying out building condition surveys, creation of a Planned Property Maintenance (PPM) programme for the commercial portfolio. Prioritising and carrying out maintenance works to the commercial portfolio, preparation of drawings and job specific work schedules and project management for small, large and complex projects. Creating and providing future maintenance works budgets to finance teams. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Managing and carrying out detailed site, building and stock condition surveys. Preparing drawings (CAD), work schedules, specifications, contract and tender documentation. Ensuring compliance with legislation, building regulations and CDM requirements. Providing structural diagnostics and detailed remedial work specifications. Managing performance of minor and major works against budgets. Supervising contractors and tradespersons. Producing summary progress reports and recommendations for asset management planning. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery. The Candidate To be considered for this role, you will require: MRICS qualification and a minimum of five years’ experience in building surveying, stock investment, and maintenance. Proven experience in project management, budget control, and partnership working. High-quality communication and negotiation skills. A valid UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle for work purposes. The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £440 per day Umbrella LTD / £350 per day PAYE.
